So, I just had a radical idea which, even if considered before by other forum members, should be considered again! (sorry bout the enthusiasm). I believe that it would be incredibly welcome by the Pentax community if Pentax/Ricoh releases a speed booster which allows people to use their k-mount lens with their original focal length. This would have the side effect of enlarging the aperture relative to the sensor size, and allow many more pens possibilities for the Pentax Q. How about it?

I'm pretty sure this would have an awesome effect of making a f5.6 lens a f2 lens, so it pretty awesome

Already discussed. Extremely difficult if not impossible to make and keep some form of IQ in the process.
Edit: also, 5.6>1 not 2

so, if that is the case, is it possible to produce a speed booster which still decreases the focal length, but not so drastically?

Lens --> normal Speedbooster --> Q adapter? Two Speedboosters?

Well, I was thinking of a speed booster, which rather than completely eradicating the crop factor, made it into a 2x or 2.5x crop
