Digital filter watercolor setting

I have owned 3 different Q cameras and all have suffered from the "washout" effect when using this setting. I have tried different settings to no avail and need help from my cohorts. Thanks in advance, schmally

I'm not sure what you're expecting. It is a watercolor filter. Post a pic and we could see if there is anything unusual.
