Thanks everyone! This is a homecoming of sorts, as I used to use a Ricoh GX100 for these kinds of photos:
But the GX100 was stolen in 2009 and I'd been looking for a suitable replacement ever since then. When you have a very specific set of needs — 24mm or wider FOV, small, light, intervalometer, RAW—it's amazing how very few camera meet the requirements. I've tried GoPro style cameras but have never been impressed enough with their still images. I've even tried a Panasonic GH2, but the size, weight, and plug in intervalometer were tough to deal with:
I managed to get this shot with the camera, but soon after the weight of the zoom lens and vibration of the Harley Davidson conspired to overwhelm the small ball head I was using.
So when the Q was announced, it ticked all the boxes, and it was just a matter of time before I had one. Now I have two, and am looking forward to using them again this riding season!
