M12 lenses

Hi. I already had some M12 before I bought (cheaply) my Q with 5-15 lens. M12, also known as "board mount" or "s-mount" lenses, use 12x0.5 thread. Here is a picture with Q with 3 mm lens on it. I have nice 16/1.2 lens, but due to large aperture and significant lens wobble, it's almost unusable unless you are happy wit 640x480 pictures.
Lol, there are even 45 mm lenses for M12! 45mm Megapixel Board CCTV PC Camera Lens M12X0 5 1 3" and 1 4" CCD Chips | eBay
i'm a bit disappointed. Probably, with other lens adaptor that would fix wobbling it'll be be better, but 1/13 sync time is a bummer.

Welcome to the forum and the Q . Very informative 1st post. Neat lenses. Never heard of M12 mount. Love how this looks on the Q! Please post some images when you get a chance. Where did you find the adapter?
thanks

+1 on everything quoted above!

I'd love to see samples and know how you adapted these lenses to the Q.

I even tried to use 16/1.2 on a NEX, works for video, but shutter doesn't allow for photo, tail is one or two mm longer and inferferes with shutter.
The rectangular thing to the left of the lenses is board lens holder.

The first sample is from black 3 mm, the second is from 3 mm with the silver front [ I'm not sure if it's exactly 3 mm]
and the third is from 16/1.2 ( DOF is quite small)

I made an adapter by purchasing a C mount to Pentax Q adapter, plus a C mount to M12 adapter. The flange distance was too far, so I had to remove the inner ring from the C-PQ adapter and place the C-M12 inside. Next, I'm going to try one of the 3d print designs that adapts M12 straight to PQ. I found the image quality of the lenses I bought to be really good. There's plenty of chromatic abberation/vignetting but the images are fairly sharp in the centre. My favourite is the 2.8mm.

edgar welcome to the Q group. Terrific images with M12 lenses. Do you have a picture of the lens/adapter on camera?
Thanks for sharing
