03 lens hood

I'm thinking of picking up an 03 fisheye lens and I was wondering what, if any, lens hood options are available. The lens does not have any threads on it so I imagine something would need to be friction fit onto the outside of the lens barrel. My intent on using a hood is to offer the lens some protection against bumps and knocks more so than improving optical performance.

Thanks!

No off the shelf lens hood that I know of.
I just put the cap back on when transporting.
I recall a thread a while back where someone used pipe caps from plumbing store as a cheap replacement if lost.

Exactly what I do. So far I haven't had even a bump on my Q or Q7 with any lens mounted (crosses fingers). I can't imagine a DIY hood could protrude very much w/o causing vignetting. FoV is 160°

The lens could certainly use a hood optically,
since it's prone to flare blotches under side lighting.

But for protection, I just use the nasty OEM cap
(which gets an electrostatic charge and attracts dust).

I seriously much doubt that any hood could work with the 03. It is very wide indeed, especially on the Q7.

I haven't found a hood for the 03 but the flair can be a neat feature

A hood might be possible on the 03 FE, since the Pentax 10-17 FE zoom has one. There is a Problem using a petal hood like the one on the 10-17. The Q FE front barrel rotates when focused. Might try building a hood that indexes into the focus lock accessory.
thanks
