Pentax Q Evangelion

Dear my fellow Pentaxians,

I wish you all good day and not many over-exposed pictures.

So i was after a Q(10-7-original) for sometime just for my personal use and fun. I have waited enough to see Pentax Q10 prices to drop 145STG (240 dollars)! this includes the standard zoom too. But i have just found 1 Evangelion limited on EU market which is 460 dollars.

I was a big fan of the anime back in day yet it is insane to spend more than 2x for same camera. However lets all praise this beauty and talk about how good it looks!

Oh great, now I can't get the theme tune out of my head

While I also might be a victim for that special edition (Evengelion was the first anime I got on DVD...), but not with the price difference. Like I wrote in the metal-body thread, a stylish exterior is an argument for me to get a certain camera, but only if everything else is roughly equal - the IQ and the price!

I'm with you on that, but each to their own and Pentax should be congratulated for giving people the choice of different colours if that's what they want.

On a similar weird multi-coloured theme, anyone remember the VW Polo Harlequin?

While I would not call the camera ugly, I do consider it thought provoking in much the same manner as when you see a car traveling down the street and it has a body one color, a door another color and a hood yet another color. You start to wonder what kind of wreck that vehicle was in that did not total it but necessitated scavenging parts from other vehicles to put it back into operational condition.

"A coat of many colors."

I saw these on Amazon and really thought (and am still thinking) about ordering one.
However I began to think more about it and had some concerns:

Type 00 Rei - Too many versions / variants. Only shoots in monochrome since it is more poetic and introspective. Too attached to original owners.

Type 01 Shinji - Basically useless as every 15 minutes it makes a whining noise and refuses to use a camera bag. Embarrassing shot performance around implied nude subjects.

Type 02 Asuka - Bat Sh$$ Loco. One moment first class performance the next it seems to cry for its momma and head for a bath unable to do anything right.

But dear god but a Spike Spiegel or Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop would be pass from my cart to checkout so fast my credit card might melt. Although there may be QC issues with the Spike model one as after tons of great shots it suddenly dies on you,
A Belldandy or Urd edition would be purchased in so short a time even a Tardis might have trouble keeping up.

Not that I know anything about the subject of 'anime' of which you speak.

That's a pretty equivalent exchange.
