Seems pricey (lowest price is $70 at B&H), but what do you think of this case?

With a main holster which holds a Q camera with lens attached and two secondary holsters for the 02 and 06 Q-series zoom lenses, this is a convenient and well-designed accessory to help you shoot faster with less rummaging through camera bags. The holster is made from brown synthetic leather and features two rings to attach various optional straps as well as the included hand strap.

The main holster will hold Pentax Q-S1, Q7, Q10 and Q cameras.
Secondary holsters hold the Q-Series 5-15mm f/2.8-4.5 "02" lens and the 15-45 f/2.8 "06" lens.

I love it. Price is high so maybe I'll wait for the price to drop, or wait for when I get extra spending cash.

Wow, I saw pictures of this from the CP+ show earlier this year, but didn't think it would make it to the US. I'm glad to see they are going to sell this here! Super nerdy, but cool in it's own way.

If they are smart, they better send one of those to Blunty.

Looks great, I like it. Just wish it had a little flap to go over the top and front (like a messenger bag?) to protect the gear a little more. But the leather looks great and tough

I do not like the way the lens on the camera is unprotected. If you had the lens cap on it would easily be knocked off. It seems a bit pricy and will put a good size dent in your wallet.

For the money I like these two bags. I have been using the Vivitar bag for a while and I showed it in this thread. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/136-pentax-q/270190-cases.html Please note there is room for at least one extra lens, some batteries, extra SD cards in the top cover and a lens filter or two.

It was purchased from this Ebay seller who has recently raised his price on this item.

The other I recently purchased from this Ebay seller and am waiting it’s arrival. I think this bag will facilitate more than one extra lens.

Both fit on your belt which I consider a necessity and both are rather small and most importantly very cost effective.

For desperate thieves, maybe. Pretty sure the neck strap on a big SLR with "Nikon" or "Canon" printed on it is far more attractive in the areas where wearing a camera is asking for trouble.

BTW, I keep one of my Qs protected in a flash pouch.

With the way the lens pokes out, unprotected, it's just asking to be damaged IMHO. Either that or easy loss of lens hoods. And it's all too open to pickpockets to lift items out. It's all a recipe for disaster so two thumbs down from me.

I'd much prefer a drop-in multi pouch soft padded bag that's shower resistant and has a nice zipped padded cover which can be velcro'd open if desired. Wide and shallow so everything is one item deep and with a sling that I'd wear cross shoulder, making it easy to wear in any position that suited at the time, front, side, back.

Hmm - I suddenly have a desire for a bespoke new bag for my Q. Damn this thread...

Yeah, I do agree it looks okay - it's just the practicality of it that I have doubts over, for the reason I mentioned earlier.

It would be useful to have a few lenses easily available like that. To me, the practicality issue is more that I will carry the Q in my hand at almost all times and thus I don' really need the largest room in the holster. I need to come up with some useful idea for that space before I order the holster!

Will be interested in your opinion on this one. It looks very similar to one I bought a while back, and -- how should I put this -- I am really impressed with the developing bag technology that can deliver such small products. It has room for the Q, but not for much more!

Interesting idea, but that (presumably) Velcro strap around the camera just begs to be quick-stripped and the camera lifted by a two-man team. That doesn't even count that I would bash the lens against everything I walk past.

I'll stick to my $10 Optio bag.

It has arrived. Here are a few shots of the Pentax bag I purchased from the Ebay seller.

First image shows the bag closed. Second is the backside showing the belt loop which was an important feature for me. The bag does come with a shoulder strap which I will not use. Inside is my Q7 with the 06 Tele mounted with a polarizer filter. Also inside the bag is my 02 zoom with a UV filter shown in it’s original bubble wrap. Also in the bag in my 01 Prime. The front pouch can easily store several batteries or a filter and several batteries. Shipping took 9 days from the day I ordered it.

This bag offers a bit more room than the Vivitar bag I showed.

Seems like a $10, used fanny pack with a mustard stain on it would work just fine, attract less attention and be more versatile. That's my choice anyway.
