Telephoto 06 lens

The Q with 02 lens is a decent combination, quite nice especially for such a small sensor. With the acquisition of the 06, the camera has moved from decent to 'impressive' - I think it just earned a trip to Disneyland next month A few general shots about the yard at f/3.2 was all it took to convince me. Sharpness/subject isolation is very nice!

It is a very nice lens - the 01, 02 and 06 make a very nice 3 lens pack

I'm thinking the 02 is outclassed in that group, but its range certainly would be missed. This might force me to seek an 01 then the fisheye of course...

+1 on the 01,02,03,06,08 as the ideal set up. All in a tiny case. Little weight and less bulk.

I've just been on holiday and nowerdays I just take the 06 and 08 lenses and make do with the gap in the middle. I need to travel light but hardly ever wish I had the 02 to plug the gap.

I think I use the 06 more than any other lenses I have, but I really wish for an update to the 02 maybe a 24-125........

It will never happen

I do the same...but also carry the 01 since its so small. I carry this kit when I attend college football games here in the U.S. and I never have to worry about a camera bag. I can fit everything in the pockets of my cargo shorts or jacket. I just keep the lenses in small individual neoprene pouches to protect them.

Sometimes I also bring the 03 fisheye, because of the fun factor.

I would prefer and updated 02 with same range but improved quality and constant f2.8
And collapsible design like the 06 would be a big improvement in portability

I agree with you on the 06. Maybe someday Pentax will improve the 02 and bring it up to the IQ that the 06 can produce. Till then, my 06 gets the most use out of the house.
