Original Q: Date and Time resets every time I charge the battery?

Hi,

I just got me the original Q again after I sold it last year. I missed the fun

As soon as I got it I updated the firmware and started shooting. My problem is that every time I take out the battery to charge it, I have to set the time and date again. EVERY time ! I remember that that was not the case with my old Q. Does anyone else have this problem?

My Firmwareversion is: 1.14

Thanks!

This can happen if the Q was left in an uncharged state for a long time or if the internal battery/capacitor has gone bad.
Some folks reported that after leaving a charged battery in the Q for a few days the camera started retaining the date again.

Mine did the same, I tried a few ways some suggests (different SD card, firmware, different battery) but none of them works.
I am towards the opinion that a capacitor, which stores the time data, died in the camera.
