Loose Q lens adapters

I've seen a few posts questioning loose/sloppy adapter mount rings.

I just received a Fotodiox brand PK-Q adapter that had a LOT of play in the mount. Works well otherwise. On inspection I discovered that the three small screws that hold the bayonet lens mount ring to the adapter were loose.

Snugging them up tight and placing a drop of thread sealer on 'em fixed the problem. There's no spring tension on this ring so over tightened screws may cause friction or binding problems when attaching or detaching the lens. Cellophane tape, or even a layer of acrylic fingernail polish, used as a shim may fix that problem as well.

Thank you for that information! The first one I got from B&H wouldn't attach to my Q7 at all; the replacement does attach to both the lens and the camera, but it is very tight.

Good tip pacerr. Loose lens mounts can eliminate sharpness. Have you tried an aperture disc inside to increase sharpness? Closing down to f4 or 5.6 improves the 110 lenses a lot.
thanks

Lets see some Q/110 lens shots.

I had a similar thing happening with differently branded one and nearly had my macro fall to the ground. Once tightened it has worked well,
