Klaus has a Q!

A Q-S1, actually! Could the Q yet charm the world over?

Does this mean we could see more Q lens reviews, like for the 06 and 08?

Hey, I just picked up a Q-S1 myself... brand-new body-only at Amazon for $197. I had the original Q with the 01, 02 and 06 lenses but sold them off after a year due to lack of use. But I still have my Q-to-K adaptor and my original Q OVF. I never used the adaptor much but I'd like to now with my DA 55-300. I also have a crackle-black 01 prime coming from Japan. Fun.

That might be a lot of fun. I've got the DA 55-300 f/4-5.6, the D-FA 100mm f/2.8 and the DA* 50-135 f/2.8.

Great! I also got mine (a Q7) on a good deal via Amazon (and I also got my 01 from Japan; I hope the boat bringing yours moves faster than the boat carrying mine did).

They something like February 25th for delivery. Free snail mail from Japan. That's okay. I wanted one good dedicated lens for the Q-S1. I'm not sure I'll bother with the other Q lenses this time around unless the proper wide-angle zoom goes on some kind of super-discount sale.

Sounds almost exactly my logic and my path; part of the extra slowness for my lens was that I bought the Q7, and the 01, a week or so before Christmas.

Maybe we will! It seemed like he liked the 01/02 for what they were, so I'm curious to see how it pans out for the four premium lenses on the larger sensor.

Sounds like fun!

I'm wondering if we'll see the Q5/Q-S2 at CP+. I really want to see how R/P is going to innovate for the Q from here on out.

Looking at the K-S2 announcement today, more than ever I'm guessing that they will add features that will speak to teenaged Japanese girls ... but not to me (like wifi). That is partly why I decided to get my Q7 now ... but they could always surprise me.

Just got a Q-S1. I like the feel of the Q7 better. Much better. And the Q better still, but the Q7 has better IQ so it's going to be my go-to day-to-day Q, with the Q-S1 used for birding duty.

I have to admit the original Q did feel the best. I wasn't crazy about the Q7 due to the plasic body. But I never worked with it for any length of time, either. I finally went for the Q-S1 because it was less than $200 and had aluminum in the body. But it would be nice if the next Q was magnesium again.
