NIKON 500/8 Mirror, Pentax Q, Q7

Just wanted to share with you a surprising result : The very first version of the Nikon 500/8 with the Q and the Q7
It's not really, really good, but not that bad either. Surprising for sure.
It's a very light gear, prone to vibrations and I had forgotten the IR remote, so I mainly used the self timer on a sturdy tripod.
Not at the level of my MEADE telescope though. (https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/136-pentax-q/287244-q7-telescope-triplet-apo-ed.html)
Let's say 40 or 50m.
Remember : 2300mm with Q7, 2800mm with Q

Pentax Q :
400 iso 1/125e

Pentax Q7
800 iso 1/125e

Few more photos on my thread in French here :
Low End Reflexoscopie : Nikon 500/8, Pentax Q, Pentax Q7

jpeg ooc with basic pp

I'll try to make other tests later

Was it fairly dark there?

I'm surprised that you had a shutter speed of only 1/125.

These are really good pictures considering the shutter speed you had to work with!
