i think not.

There is no lever to adjust aperture, and there is no ring to allow to change the aperture.

The original 250€ adapter is very different : it has a leaf shutter inside allowing for long exposure and flash sync up to 1/1000. Hence the price.

I use that adapter and its good, a minor irritation is the tiny screws that hold the tripod mount on WILL work loose....easily fixed with a fine screwdriver
at 10% of the Pentax one its great value!

This is the one I'm using. I have similar ones for Canon FD and Canon EF mounts (yes, I have a lot of old lenses). I like having the tripod foot built-in; I'm really unhappy that you have to pay extra bucks to add a tripod foot to the already-pricey Pentax adapter - but, on the other hand, the Pentax one does provide a mechanical shutter and aperture "control" for the extra money. If I look at how I use adapted lenses, I find that even with the older ones that provide an aperture ring, I tend to set it to one value and stick with that value (somewhere near it's most open position), so I'm not sure how much the aperture control really matters. When the wind was really blowing, my bird feeder appeared to have a curve down its length (even then, I didn't notice any issue with the actual birds), but otherwise I've never noticed any issues from not having a mechanical shutter.

Do yourself a favor and put a tiny drop of clear fingernail polish (or equivalent) on it to prevent the loosening of the screw thread.

RJ adapter

Recently I received the aforementioned RJ adapter. For the price it seems a good solid device. Off course manual control of the aperture is quite rudimentary, as the aperture ring has no markings at all. This adapter also has no shutter so, unlike the official Pentax adapter, manual lenses are limited to a maximum of 2 seconds of shutter speed.

The absence of any markings isn't a problem with lenses with an aperture ring (such as the smc 135/2.5 as shown) but might be a little anoying on DA lenses.
