OMG, It IS Tiny...

Those stats for the Olympus vs QS1 I found were a tad misleading. The QS1 is definitely way smaller! They should have called it "C" for CUTE. :P

I think in asia, most people say it's very Q as a shorthand way of saying cute.

Like in canto, "le ho Q ah!" would be "you are so cute!"

As a standalone without context that's a very disturbing phrase.

Shutter count is 505. So hardly any wear and tear at all. Got my Auto 110 lenses today and their adapter too. Now if I only had any extra batteries I'd be ready to take it out and play, but nope, just a few quick shots indoors today. I'm still waiting on my Wasabi's sigh. They should be here tomorrow I hope though at the rate this little camera eats energy think I am going to need half a dozen at least. The 02 lens is not bad but so far I'm liking the A110 50mm best on it. The little grip/IR knob isn't so bad. Actually my little fingers have no trouble at all working around it. My hands are so small that ergonomically speaking this size camera actually feels pretty good to me so far...

My hands are large and the two Q7's I have feel more comfortable than my K-5 series cameras. Maybe because I tend to carry them around much more than the K-5's and for the past 6 months have used them more frequently then the K-5's.

Just messing around with the 18 and 50mm A110 lenses, a Pringles can, and a Mexi-Coke bottle I left on my sewing table earlier. I'm thinking the 18 and 50mm are going to be my new toy's best toys. MF is really, really easy with these. I haven't had a chance to really try out the 70mm. It's too hot outside for me just now but there are grasshoppers around. It's Eastern Lubber breeding time again and I will probably find one to shoot a bit later. There was an adolescent one on the metal frame of my house when I got back from grabbing the mail and with my Q but by the time I got the battery charged unfortunately he was gone. That's a favorite spot for them though so likely I'll see another soon. These were taken inside in the near dark, sans flash so considering this is not too bad! Next time I'm choosing the iso though. The camera defaulted too high for my liking. I took some of it out in CR but it's still noisy to me. The last two, the Pringles can, they are just the 18mm with a desk lamp, no flash...

If you check the adapted Q index at top of this sub forum you will see some 110 users optimize the lenses by dropping in makeshift aperture rings.

Seems to extract the best IQ from them.

Enjoy your Q!

I saw that. I got a set of the Lensbaby ones. They're coming, Friday I think...I'm just playing a bit in the meantime. The little Auto 110 lenses are fascinating me a lot for some reason.

One last pic, the obligatory cat pic. Rather noisy but cute pic of Lily, up on my shelves where she has been spending a lot of her time lately. It was hard getting this shot actually. It was rather dark up there and she would insist upon backing up instead of posing properly. She's been a wee bit contrary lately, but that's not that unusual for her. She's a very friendly cat with me and Dad, but she gets into these moods where she's like Garbo kitty. "I vant to be alone..." She'll come down eventually for food, but she's been up there pretty much all afternoon for at least a week or so now lurking in her lair, playing at being a cougar in her den.

If ever a thread needed a "...that's what she said!" post, this is it.
