we are all awaiting the FF(full frame) but how about less FF(forum friction)....theories in the past have been proven wrong(and the earth still looks flat to me) but agitated tit for tat comments don't contribute anything on PF....and please, I'm not having a shot at any individual...pleae continuQ

in the cine world we measure lens speed by T-stops (since its not related to depth of field or influenced by crop factor, its purely about the quantity of light we get after the back element)

when in comes to the Q system massive depth of field is a selling point in my book, since its the type of fun camera you would use to document your travels and daily happening

Lens speed isn't about DOF but exposure. So that F:4 is always equal to F:4.
Thin DOF in a super telephoto is a problem. Having more DOF is generally desirable. A camera is not a DOF measuring device.
Equivalentist obviously aren't well schooled in the theory of exposure.
I'm not sure what your point is? Do you disagree with something I said about what the DoF will look like with a hypothetical 1400mm/f/26 lens? Did I make any claims about exposure? Are you trying to call me an "Equivalentist (??)" in a derogatory way? Are you just looking for something to argue about?

A Q7 will also allow you to hike an uphill climb of steep grade for around 7 to 8 kilometers, with backpack, tent, a wife and kid in tow without feeling the dead weight of DSLR and still manage some decent shot like this (with a low IQ 02) even without a tripod and at dusk

And if you find yourself in an island, boat hopping, and all, can you find a system with an optical fisheye no bigger than the size of your thumb, and a built in IS, and ND? Will you really risk a full blown DSLR in a windy and sandy beach just to change your lens?

And is it really possible to find a miniscule, toy-like camera (that may even come colored pink) to produce an image with this much details?

Are we back on topic now?
