K mount adapter

HI,

I recently received the Pentax adapter for K mount lenses.

It seems very well made, but one thing surprised me. Except when in the L position, the aperture ring moves smoothly, rather than clicking into place with each stop (or half stop).

Does anyone else have one? If so, can you confirm that this is how it is supposed to be, or have I got a faulty one?
