The Pentax adapter is now available for less than $190 USD . . . but, there's still a break even point on its value. The adapter only solves the shutter issue; it doesn't allow AF. The primary top-level lenses for the Q, the 01, 02, 06 and 08 are really at their best when used with AF which is not available with any other adapted AF lenses.

Unless you have a known, specific (and understood) use for the leaf shutter, that adapter may not be a wise, economical choice for you. I'd like to have one as an occasional convenience but I won't purchase one until the price drops enough to make sense for a very limited set of circumstances for my purposes.

That said, I find the Q's useful only when the circumstances favor the use of the Q's AF lenses OR for deliberate extreme telephoto or close-up use OR when an extremely small systems' bag is needed for travel. Then they're a pleasure to use.

Otherwise there's still a very important place for the K-bodies in my bag of tricks.
