4.6x. If you manage to lock focus, that'll be some pretty long reach!

I've seen some Q with adapted telephoto before. Always interesting, but you never know about the results until you try. Use a lens hood and a steady tripod, try it out in bright sunlight. Super telephoto

I think this could be the same lens:

Original Poster
I have a steady tripod.... and a remote. And a K to Q adapter on its way from China.

2,300mm effectively LOL. Hmmm. Well why not.

And I get that it isn't truly 2300 LOL

Be prepared for exceptionally sh*tty results
That lens isn't even very good on its own.

I have been unimpressed with the 500mm presets Suleeto, While I wouldn't be as dismissive as Giklab (and the quality of these varies) I tend to agree that the results will be at best modest! For me that jump from the typical f6.3 of the 400mm presets to the f8 of the 500mm's is a bigger factor than it would nominally seem to be: focussing is a jump harder and results IME tend to be inferior to the 400's. With either, at this sort of ultra extreme telephoto, you will need every trick in the book to get the best out of it: bean bags on a wall or concrete pillar, sandbag/weight on top, mirror lock up, timer, remote release, focus bracketing... all very tedious, you will find that even eg following the movement of the moon is a PITA.
You should check out some of the results posted in this adapted lenses on Q thread. Like working with teleconverters it is the best lenses that produce the best results. However there are quite a number of surprisingly good results with lenses that are not considered so great. I can guess that a big part of that is the crop (which is effectively what is going on) is concentrated on the centre of the optic where the IQ is usually best.
And I would suggest trying good 200's first like the takumars. With the crop factor that's still an ultra telephoto 920mm equivalent. Way faster at f3.5 or f4 gives you stopping down lee way. And focus etc an order of magnitude easier.
2000mm ++ ???- get a telescope!!

If I take what you are asking literally, what will happen is that the lens will rip the Q out of your hands and head downwardly till it meets the first flat surface where it will land with a resounding crash resulting in a sickening feeling in you stomach. It might be gooder to mount the Q onto that beast. What happens after that depends on many variables.

It's do-able. The CZ-500. A 6 lb/2.8 Kg lens.
