So, here is what I get with my Q and BC on the lowest setting, and is quite the typical result I get. Quite ugly isn't it ? This look much worse than the examples shown by StoneG with the Q10. Both subject and camera were static.



And the same shot without BC, reprocess in camera from the raw. Looks fine and, obviously, the camera was on focus and the camera should not have had any problem identifying what was the subject and what was background...

Ooops, that definitely looks not-right. It is Blur but not Blur Control!


Silly question / idea: Could it be a firmware issue?

The latest firmware is installed, but I could try to reinstall it. But this also make me think that I could try to reset the Q to factory default... I will check this and come back to tell you what happened...

Good news! After reseting the Q to factory defaults, BC now works at it should!
