Truth. I've had good luck with the Wasabis. When we travel - 2 weeks in New England this fall, for example - my wife carries her Q in her purse, and I bring 2 spare batteries, an Asus Transformer and all my lenses in a little Tamrack bag. She just borrows what she wants, though she's probably 90% 02 and 10% 06. I almost always have the 08 or 06 on my Q7.
And you're right: that whole mess would fit into about a quarter of the Domke I used to carry when I was a phojo. Crap that thing was heavy: 2 LXs with motors, an MX with a motor, 20, 28, 100 macro, 135 1.8, 300, teleconverter, a dozen hand-loaded film cartridges, AA batteries, Vivitar flashes with interchangeable heads and battery grips...my back aches just thinking about that load.
