Is there a comparison chart of Q models?

I would like to know if there is a comprehensive chart of Q models compared? The chart would need to list things like focus peaking, sensor size, etc.

There may still be some inaccuracies, but here you go:
Pentax Q-S1 vs. Pentax Q7 vs. Pentax Q10 vs. Pentax Q - Pentax Camera Comparison - PentaxForums.com

Basically, there are 2 generations of Q models: the Q and Q10, and the Q7 and Q-S1. The former two have a 1/2.3" sensor and slower AF, while the latter two have a 1/1.7" sensor and faster AF. There are few other differences which you can read about here:

Quite a few errors there.

Sensor format - APS-C! (actually 1/1.7" or 7.44mm x 5.58mm)
AA filter - yes (I might be wrong here, but I always understood they did not have an AA filter)
Dust removal - no (mine is set up to perform this function every time it is turned on or off)
File format - JPEG (it also shoots RAW DNG)

There are probably more.

Q-S1 is not discontinued. It's still very much available at all outlets and from Pentax Australia (who will list it as discontinued when it actually is)
Even B&H don't list it as discontinued, and we know how quick they are to list stuff as discontinued

Sandy, except for Dust removal (which even the original Q has) I don't see any of the errors you mention on that comparison page?

Because I've fixed them all! There will likely be others, as we're currently in the process of migrating to a new database system.

AFAIK the Q-S1 is on its way out.

Perhaps, but that hardly equates to 'Discontinued', Adam.

Thanks!

Oh and viewfinder type looks wrong. Also there isn't a focusing screen is there????

So focus peaking appears to be a feature only with q7 and qs-1 is that correct?

No, the original "crop sensor" Q also has it.
I've found it essential for using lenses with the K2Q adapter.

Adam, one thing to take a look at is in the 03 fisheye description
(https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/Pentax-03-Fish-Eye.html):

"If this lens is mounted on a Q7, the camera will switch to a mode where it utilizes a smaller part of the sensor corresponding to an 1/2.3 inch sensor."

Using the 03 on my Q7, I'm getting full size (4000x3000px) images.

Are you getting full size JPG or full size RAW images? When I shoot in RAW and process with Capture One I get almost circular fisheye images with the 08.

If its on its way out, I wonder if the value will go up after a while like it did on the MX1?

While there are plenty of Q's and Q10's and a lot of Q-S1's out for sale and resale. The number of Q7's seen on resale boards such as Ebay is virtually non existant. IMHO the Q7 was the best of the Q series and well maintained previously owned models are selling for nearly the same amount as Pentax was charging for new ones during last years December sale.

I shoot RAW+, and both JPG and DNG show up as 4000x3000.
Using Adobe (ACR, PS) for the DNG.

The Q7 will interpolate the 03 to 4000x3000.
Extrapolate? Do you know which method is used?

And in the RAW as well?
But that does not seem consistent with what Boris is seeing.

In ACR it opens with no border, same image size as jpg: 4000x3000
OK, that's what I've been seeing.

With the lens contacts taped it opens with a wider view, image vignetted at corners, 4000x3000, both Jpg and Raw.

Don't take my word for it. Try it yourself.
No problem, I'll believe you,
without messing up the contacts.

Was there a firmware update that added focus peaking to the older Q systems? I have read other threads that indicated that this was not part of the original Q.
