Q7 and concert camera

Q7 remains my preferred concert camera. Many venues still won't allow a full-size DSLR through the door. Q7 with the 06 and 08 are just about all you need to cover a show, and the balance between IQ and unobtrusive shooting is perfect. Here's Ringo Starr last night, delivering the happiest show in rock 'n' roll.

Mark, those shots are excellent! What ISO were you typically shooting at, and how much post-processing was required to get the noise levels under control? I'm also a big fan of the Q7, though I've never used it for this specific purpose...

Thank you. I do little very PP. I think most of those are iso 200 to 400, f2.8. The 06 delivers at f2.8 really well. with exposure compensation at least 2/3's down to avoid blowing out stage lighting hots pots. I bring up shadows some later if I need to. I sharpen and luminance correct very little if any.

The stage lighting must have been quite good, then. When I photographed Straight No Chaser, I had to use ISO values more like 1600 (with -1 exposure compensation}

I couldn't agree more. When I'm not in the photographer's pit with all the trappings, the Q7 + 01 + 06 + 08 has been a great combination.
