Whose prices are these?
* the French equivalent of B&H?
* the Pentax France?

So, most likely something is happening ... we will have some kind of indication soon.
Either we will see a new model or else we will have to conclude that RonHendriks1966 was correct.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. If they sell off the lenses, it looks like they want to get rid of the whole system. No need to sell the lenses if they only want to get rid of the Q-S1 inventory to make place for a new body...

This Happens to me sometimes, even when some people don't like that.

Maybe of no important, but there is no mention of mirrorless for the stand of Ricoh-Imaging. All other group are name for the stand.

http://www.photokina.com/photokina/Exhibitor-Search/index-2.php?fw_goto=aussteller/details&&kid=0000530093&values=%7B"stichwort"%3A"Ricoh"%2C"start"%3A0%7D

This exhibitor shows the following products and commodity groups:

Cameras
Action cameras
Compact cameras
Medium and large format cameras
Outdoor cameras
Panoramic cameras / 360 degree camera
DSLR cameras
Lenses, filters and camera equipment / accessories
Lenses for large and medium format cameras
Lenses for SLR cameras
Light technique and lighting
Flash units
Additional assortments
Binoculars

So it looks like Q is out the Windows.

Uh Oh...

Anyone know where the cheapest place online is to pick up a 06 lens?

Also, I have the original Q with 01, 02, 03, 08... Was planning to get a new body at some stage, should I try to pick up an S1 now? Not sure how long I should expect my Q to remain operational... I was hoping for a new model to be launched to add features and allow me to make more use of the wide angle lens.

It would surely be sad if this small, yet very powerful and versatile system should come to an end. But yes, something IS happening: Yesterday, I visited the shop-ricoh-imaging webshops of the UK, France, EU-general and Japan.

The French and British shops had links to 'Mirrorless' (Q-S1 and GXR) but clicking on these links led to a blank "Page does not exist" and re-visiting the same pages this morning, the links had been completely removed. No indication of 'Mirrorless Cameras' whatsoever any more. One can still find Q-mount lenses in these two shops.

Yesterday, the Japanese and EU webshops still had Q-S1 camera bodies and camera+lens combinations listed at ordinary list prices - and as available in stock - and they still had this morning, but some variants are listed as "Sold Out" on the Japanese page, indicating to me that manufacture of the Q-S1 has come to an end. (Not too surprising).

Well, I intend to stick to my Q-system for as long as possible. Perhaps the time has come, where I should secure a back-up body while supplies last?

This is a good way to have fun with Q into 2020.

I don't know if PF will have someone at Photokina this year. But if they do, there are some good questions to be asked about the Q system. And, hopefully, they will push for a more useful answer than the the usual "The Q is still listed in our catalog, blah, blah, blah...". Something like "Do you still work on the Q system or see a future in it?". If the answer is anything but "Yes, we do", we'll have our answer.

It's nice to witness the hope of innocence... I think the signs; selling off lenses at huge discounts; de-listing the system on their website, could be interpreted as abandonment of the line. I hope not, but fear so.

I don't understand what I'm looking at, because all my regular U.S. sources are showing regular availability at regular prices {for example, the 08 is still listed at nearly $500 - I might get one if the price were half of that}; in fact, today I could get a 01 from a U.S. source {I had to get mine from a Japanese merchant when I bought it in December 2015}

Probably, the French importer (and possibly the UK one) is on the verge of loosing the Ricoh Pentax franchise.

To me, the Q is actually bit more than just 'fun' although I must admit that I am just a happy amateur. Anyway, I have great faith in my current Q10. I find the build quality very reassuring, so that body alone should carry me into the 2020's.(I hope). I am thinking of my Q-investments (lenses and adaptors of various kinds) in a longer perspective.......
