Q7 rain experience.

I inadvertently left a Q7 + a squeeze-capped 08 lens with LCD screen facing down on the hood of a vehicle overnight. Had about 45-minutes of moderate rain and temperature in low 40's (F) that night.

When found next morning I decided it was too late to do anything with the battery at that point so did nothing more than wipe it dry and leave it in a dry place (but not in full sun) for the morning -- no large temperature change to cause condensation.

Seems to have survived just fine with no evidence of moisture or condensation in either body or lens. YMMV of course and this didn't involve full immersion. In that position only the lens release button was liable to collect standing water.

Lucky escape, but good to hear. I think I'd be freaking out, especially about the 08.

Wow. A magnificent test of Q durability. Feel you were lucky. Remember someone washing a Q fisheye left in a pocket. It still worked, but had some dirt in the glass. None of this is recommended. The Q is not weatherproof.

For sale: squeaky clean Q7 & 08 lens.

Seriously, very glad there appears to be no damage to either! Glad you didn't drive off with it on the hood!
