Q10 at the Gardens

Needed to finish off a roll in my MX (Kodak P3200 @ 1600... and it just happened to be mostly sunny today, guess the circular polarizer helps knock off two stops ), so packed light which meant taking the Q10 with me as the only digital on me.

Tried out the 02 a little bit, but switched back to the 01 after a little bit when not adapting a lens like the Tamron 90/2.8.

One of the ones with the 90mm adapted (502mm equiv) handheld.

In a nutshell, I found the 02 to be slightly softer than the 01, especially when nearly at the same focal length.

Nice set. Yes, I think it is fair to say nothing matches the sharpness of the 01, although the 06 seems to come closer than the 02 from some of my testing.

Enjoyed the series. Well done. The Q10 is a great camera that frees photographers to be more creative.
Thanks

Nice shots, I find I dont use my 01 lens very often. I do think the 02 is worth more credit then it gets. I also find the 06 lens sharper than the 02.

Nice stuff, good work with the Tamron 90 too.

For me, sharpness goes: 01 > 08 > 06 > 02

For me, utility goes: 02 > 01 > 08 > 06

I can definitely concur that the 02 is softer than the 01. I plan on getting an 06 later tonight soon as direct deposit shows up.

The 02 utility wise seems useful on paper, but I'm so use to using primes, I haven't really used a zoom in the normal range since probably 2007. Been primarily a prime guy. Because generally speaking for the price they're usually lighter, sharper, brighter... but the Q lens seem to be the exception, zooms and primes seem to be on equal footing depending on which one. (though that 08 is pricey )

Note to self: don't buy from this seller again as they will only respond to inquiries outside of eBay's messaging system (which is against the seller policy).

Nice shooting. I do not have the K Adapter or the 01 yet so I am just using the 02 and 06 lenses. I was impressed with the 02 after all the bad reviews it received. I hope to get an 01 in the future.

These were taken at the Gardens with the QS-1 and the 06.
