i got 2 for macro.. reversed/tube Schneider xenoplan 23mm f 4 machine vision lens... macro yashinon 60mm f 2.8. 1:1 ...extreme macro with reversed xenoplan. covers everything. --16mm...2/3rds lens-- in 23-25mm is the equivalent of about a 90mm lens....per say in normal 35mm terms. reversed the act differently. u get q quality and the same depth of field multiplied by the q sensor crop factor.

@xerxal your Xenoplan machine lens sounds fascinating. Would love to see a picture of the lens and some of your images.
Thanks,

FlashQ on my PentaxQ

This little Q20 flash is the perfect companion. Off-camera flash without any unnecessary bulk.

I have two separate kits based on my Q-7, as shown below.

The upper line shows my birding kit, which was my primary reason for getting the Q-7.

Below is the "regular" kit, which has its own bag, just waiting for the Q-7 to be added to it.

Interesting dual kits based on the Q. Notice you use two different LCD magnifiers. Why?
Thanks

Nice looking kits.

Nice looking kits.
The magnifier which is part of the birding kit attaches to the camera's tripod mount, so it is firmly attached - important to me when I'm using one hand to operate the camera and one hand to operate the lens. I store this kit in an old bag used once-upon-a-time for an SLR kit, so there is plenty room for adapter, lens, and magnifier.

The magnifier which is part of the standard kit is a collapsible Hoodman, so it fits nicely in the small bag I use to hold this kit. It doesn't provide a firm way to attach it to the camera; I could buy or provide an elastic band/bands to hold it, but I use a combination of left hand and friction to hold it in place.

Makes sense. Different magnifiers for different uses.
Thanks for sharing,

I purchased the tripod-mount one first ... and was really dismayed by the amount of space it took in the messenger bag I use for the lower kit, so when B&H had the collapsible one on sale, purchasing it was a "no-brainer".
