Show us your Q (or your Qollection)

I went looking for a show-us-your-Q megathread after acquiring another body yesterday, and was a little surprised to not find one. (Mods please feel free to nuke this if I've just been blind.)

My little Q-brood as of now:

The black Q7 I've had for the better part of a year. It became a fast friend, quickly replacing the K-01 as my most used camera. I soon started scouting around for an original Q, partly for collectors' sake, partly as a backup body, and found this white/cream model on the 'bay; it came with an 01 prime which I'll probably put on the PF marketplace before long (while I love the lens, I don't need two of them). Whitey now has been given a firmware update from 1.00 to 1.14 and a gray wrist lanyard scavenged from a defunct Fuji compact.

So. Whatcha got?

A pair of Q-7s, A pair of Q-S1s, a pair of 02s, an 03, an 08, various C and D mount lenses, the 4 Pentax 110 primes, and a Canon LTM 135mm f3.5 and a Rokinon 300mm f6.3 mirror, all in adapters. Not shown is the 01 or the bricked 06 and the Olympus VF-1. The 110 24mm is fitted to a home made 12mm extension tube. All of the bodies have "Gun Grip" texture added, the Q-S1 third from the left is actually a red with gunmetal version. You can also see the O-rings added to the Q-S1s, a skinny 1/2" one around the mode dial and a pair of thick 1/2" O-rings around the IR port on the front:

I do have one shot, missing would be my Q10, two more 02 lenses, fish eye lens, and my QS-1. I have also added a clear viewer to my Q7 (which works fantastic)

GuitarGuru76 that is an awesome looking custom Q. Did it take a long time to arrive? Do you have a matching guitar?
Thanks for sharing

It has gotten a little out of hand, but I've used all the lenses (and many of my K mount lenses as well) to take pictures with the various Q's. The Canon 135mm is a particular favorite, as is the 110 50mm. The 110 24mm with the extension tube is great for macros. I got one of the bodies as a spare because I dropped one of the Q-S1's, damaging the SD card door, but a little JB Weld fixed it up. I got the Q-7 bodies used a couple of years ago, they were too cheap to pass up. They aren’t so cheap anymore.

Hi, Cipher, nice collection. Two quick questions... Why do you use O-rings? How much more "grippy" are the cameras with the 'gun grip' texture added?
Thanks,
George

Re: O rings on the Q-S1. The ones around the IR port make it much more comfortable to use. The one around the mode dial keeps it from moving out of position yet still allows changes if needed. The Q-7s have a more ergonomic design and doesn't need them.

Re: The grip tape. I think helps a lot (I got it after I dropped the Q-S1) I use the HI TEC GT-5000 tape (from Amazon.) It does come off cleanly. I tried the 3M tread tape as well, but I didn't like the feel quite as much.

One or two 01 Primes missed the photo shoot. They're hiding in the corner of a camera bag somewhere...

This is the kit I have with me everyday (unless I'm on travel, in that case I'll drop the telescope and 90mm macro).
Front: 08 lens on Q7 and a hood, 03, 01, 02, 06, and fixed focus Wollensak-Keystone Cine Raptar 1".
Back: BORG 55FL telescope (on a genuine Pentax Q adapter), Vivitar Series 1 90mm f2.5 MACRO (for FD mount on a cheap FD-Q adapter).

(I'm still searching for a good lightweight macro lens for Q7. Vivitar is very, very good optically but is big and heavy. Wollensak is compact and light, optically not that good but OK as a macro with spacers, but fixed focus is too inconvenient.)
