Perfect fit tripod collar for the Pentax Adapter Q for K-Mount Lens

I found an alternative tripod mount for the Pentax Adapter Q for K-Mount Lens. It also allow me to spin from portrait to landscape. It's a perfect fit. No modifications were needed.

This one is the iShoot RT-1. FleaBay has many. Any version for the Nikon RT-1 Lens will work. I chose this one because it has the Arca plate with it. I gave $15.00 for this one shipped. What is important is the 68mm inside diameter.

Heads up guys, the JP Amazon site has the genuine tripod foot available to buy as an accessory by itself. Probably not as expensive as you might have thought.

Edit adding snapshot.

Wish it had arca compatibility built in though. Solid item otherwise.

That's why I chose the iShoot. Arca base on it. And it's removable if I need to swap a longer one on

GuitarGuru76, not to mention the fact it rotates. A huge plus on the Q, where short focal length lenses are usually telephotos. I have to get one of these tripod collars.
Thanks for sharing,

How is the rub on the K Q adaptor when twisting 90 degrees? I’d not want any damage to my prized Pentax Adaptor. But would like the portrait / landscape switching flexibility... cake and eat it.

No rub, or undue friction. inside of ring is lined. And when you quarter turn the release knob, there is a safety catch that prevents the clamp from springing completely open, but releases tension just enough to rotate the adapter in the ring. you have to pull back on the knob to fully release the clamp.

collar

Hey, I know this is old but thanks so much for the post, 2old4toys! This is exactly what I need and I ordered it from Japan Amazon for $31 -- about half the price of ebay from Japan + shipping.

Will this work on the new 16-50mm Pentax lens?

You mean this lens ? :
https://us.ricoh-imaging.com/product/hd-pentax-da%E2%98%85-16-50mmf2-8ed-plm-aw/

From the pictures I don't see anywhere where a tripod collar could mount.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, as far as the collar for the Pentax K to Q adapter, it looks like the collar for the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM should also work - iShoot model C100L (new version) and "Ring D (B)" (old version) should also work.

I am having trouble finding any others with an inside diameter of 68mm.

Yes, that is the lens. It has an 84mm diameter. I ordered this:
FOTGA Arca Swiss Lens Tripod Mount Ring Collar Ring for Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD E Mount Z Mount Lens Model A058 Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG HSM Lens from Amazon. It should work...at least I hope!

Thank you for your help!
