Tiny Tokina mirror lens on Pentax Q

Mirror lenses are totally fixed aperture.
I've never seen an adapter, even from Pentax, that provides AF for the "Q"
so this would work as well as possible for those of us who do have a mirror lens.

Yes I'm aware. I wasn't talking about this example but the question came up asking which m43 lenses would be used. The sad truth is that most won't work which is a shame. If someone made an electronic adapter that would be awesome. But I'm not holding my breath.

The M4/3 lenses that can be adapted on the Pentax Q (those with manual focus and aperture) range from 5.8mm to 300mm. Here is a list (I might have omitted a few exotic lenses) with my comments:

The full range of Voigländer F/0.95 lenses: 10.5mm, 17.5mm, 25mm and 42.5mm. Obviously the F/0.95 aperture is very interesting on Pentax Q. The main gripe against these lenses on native M4/3 is the poor corners performance, so I guess the images quality over the whole field must be better on the 1/1.7" sensor of the Q.

Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 UMC Fisheye CS II: a fisheye designed for APS-C but also available in M4/3 mount. Too long for the Q.
SLR Magic 8mm f/4 lens: a M4/3 lens designed for drones.
Olympus Fisheye Body Cap 9mm f/8: a cheap and fun fishy body cap.
Samyang/Rokinon 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS: a wide that becomes a normal lens on Pentax Q, although not a very good one.
Samyang/Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS: a longish normal with good image quality and fast aperture.
7artisans Photoelectric 12mm f/2.8: cheaper but less interesting lens than the 12/2.0 Samyang or the 12/2.8 Meike.
Meike/Opteka 12mm f/2.8: more expensive and supposed to be a better lens than the 7artisans.
Samyang/Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC: it's an ultrawide on full-frame, but a portrait lens with a moderate aperture on the Q. Not sure it is interesting...
Samyang/Rokinon 16mm f/2.0 ED AS UMC CS: good lens, a bit too large for the Q.
Samyang/Rokinon 20mm f/1.8 ED AS UMC:: a full-frame lens, so it's basically too big but a good lens anyway.
Mitakon Zhongyi 20mm f/2 4.5x Super Macro: a lens designed for extreme magnifications; should be interesting on the Q!
Samyang/Rokinon 21mm f/1.4: a fast short telephoto capable of delivering good quality images on the Q.
Samyang/Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS IF UMC: as for the 20/1.8 Samyang, it's a full-frame lens, so it's good image quality but too big.
Mitakon Zhongyi FreeWalker 24mm f/1.7: not sure the optical quality is enough for the Q.
Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 25mm f/0.95: a concurrent of the Voigtländer, apparently not as good as its model.
7artisans Photoelectric 25mm f/1.8: often maligned for its poor corners, it should make an interesting telephoto on the Pentax Q.
Meike/Opteka 28mm f/2.8: cheap lens with so-so optical quality.
Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Lydith 30mm f/3.5: a remake of a classic lens; could be used as a slowish soft portrait lens on the Q...

Handevision IBELUX 40mm f/0.85: an insanely fast telephoto, why not?
Mitakon Zhongyi FreeWalker 42.5mm f/1.2: a fast, if not great, telephoto on the Q.
Samyang/Rokinon 50mm f/1.2: a very fast telephoto on the Q.
7artisans Photoelectric 50mm f/1.8: much cheaper than the faster, heavier and better 50/1.2 Samyang.
Meike/Opteka 50mm f/2: this cheap lens exhibits weak edges when used on FF but could be a good telephoto for the Q because sharpness is good in the center of the frame,
Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 50mm f/2.9: see my comment about the 35mm Trioplan.
Lensbaby Velvet 56mm f/1.6: a soft focus portrait lens; not sure it has enough resolution for the Q.
Meyer-Optik Gorlitz P58 58mm f/1.9: to me, these Meyer revisited lenses (this one is built after the vintage Primoplan) are way too expensive for what they offer.
Meyer-Optik Gorlitz P75 75mm f/1.9: see my comment about the Meyer 58/1.9.
Samyang/Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 Aspherical IF: as this is a lens designed for full-frame, it is bigger that it needs to be but makes a fast telephoto on the Q.
Samyang/Rokinon 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lens: a very long and heavy macro lens on the Q.
Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8: another classic lens revived; see my comment about the 35mm Trioplan.
Yasuhara Momo 100 28mm f/6.4 Soft Focus: a soft focus supertele, but beware, it just might be too soft on the Q.
Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC: a full-frame behemoth - as heavy and bulky as it is good.
Rokinon Reflex 300mm f/6.3 ED UMC CS: cute mirror supertele for those donut shaped out-of-focus highlights.

Of course, these comments are my personal opinion and reflect the perceived usefulness of these lenses when used on the Pentax Q.

Great roundup of manual lenses!

I actually have the MFT Meike 6.5mm f/2 Circular Fisheye https://www.ephotozine.com/article/meike-6-5mm-f-2-0-fisheye-lens-review-30462 and have just tried it on my DIY adaptor on the Q. Sadly, unlike the more tollerent Tokina reflex, the Meike 6.5mm won’t quite focus to infinity for me. Of course it is my adaptor that needs to be a shade thinner to support the Meike.
Note the weight of glass in this Meike 6.5mm f2 makes the combination with the Q a lower priority to-do item for me at the moment.

*edit, just found it actually weighs 300g so only a touch more than the Tokina 300mm. It must only be the sheer density difference of the Meike that makes it feel heavy.

2old4toys could be the weight distribution. Mirror probably balances out corrector plate. The ultra wide is most likely more front heavy.

Ok, I'll do a feed back ;
It isn't m43 lens I intend to adapt, but...adapters : I'll stack adapters, with so many many lens to try
250/5.6 Minolta Cat for instance

I'll intend to try the Samyang 7.5mm though because with a FE you just can't do the math x4.7

I didn't invest in adapters for the Q : Just a D Mount, a C Mount and a Nikkor.
I was loosing hope for a m43 or Sony E adapter : Phoenix again

I have stacked adaptors too! For Canon lenses I have stacked on my Sony APSC camera a EF to MFT with tilt adaptor and then MFT to eMount adaptor albeit with aperture wide open only.

Now you mention it, I can now get to use the Q experiment tilting with EOS lenses too! Canon EOS to MFT tilt adaptor and then MFT to PQ!
I love the multitude of combinations these mirrorless cameras can open up. Missing only a tilt adaptor... 🤣
