Wilson Family Adventures

I'm sure you guys are tired of seeing pics of my kids by now so I'm starting a personal thread for my vactions. This way people can view them or not in one place. I love sharing my Q photos with this forum and that includes the reason I got my Q, for family adventures.

The Q was at hand and again amazed me at how great of a travel camera it is. It never gets in the way. I take it on all the rides, just toss it in my pocket. The kids never hate that I'm taking pictures. And I don't sped all day in a view finder or prism. I just point at stuff and click. This camera has become a great part of the family and not a distraction like other pieces of technology.

This weekend was Lego Land. This was our first visit. The kids watched Mr. Rogers Neighborhood all the way up. Everything was going great until my son, Porter, became ill. We made it through most of the park before he developed a 103 fever. We got him on some fever reducer and let him spend and few hours resting in the infirmary with mommy. My daughter, Lumen, and I went shopping for some new Lego kits. We got a lot. I think it was the heat that got to him, The index was well over 100 and 100% humidity. He drank all day but that's all I can think it could have been. He was fine after his rest and water.

Here are some of the snaps (Pentax Q-S1 with 02:

Hope you all enjoyed.

Nice fun pictures, and I completely get where you're coming from on the joys of the little Q. I am still recovering from dropping my oldest daughter off to her first year of college, and the Q-S1 was perfect. Dropped right into my shorts pocket with the 02, and the 06 went into the other pocket without complaint. Nobody paid any attention as I clicked away making our first rounds on campus. Perfect!

So this Thanksgiving, for the second year in a row we decided to come back to Savannah GA. This time I brought some new toys. The 01, 06, and a Wollensak 13mm 1.9. Here is a few shots I took today just screwing around at the park. Bonus artsy attempt at street photography at the end.

So we headed out to utah to visit family the day after xmas. When we got there we headed for the mountains (brian head) for some winter fun with the kids and my inlaws. The trip was super sketchy. Our cars were sliding all over the place heading up to our cabin. An hour roadtrip turned into a 4 hour ordeal. But we made it. And by morning it was all worth it. This is the first day with some fun in the snow and my little ones first time skiing and snowboarding. My daughter did amazing and tore it up right from the start. Shot Pentax Qs1 lenses 01,02,06.

More to come.

Few shots from today's adventure. These however, were shot on galaxy S8 plus with Lightroom Mobile RAW. The perfect companion to the Q when you forget it.

Today we rented Can Am Maverick X3 side by sides and took a three hour tour. We didnt have much time for photos as were were hugging canyon cliffs and climbing seemingly impassable rocks. We also tore up some sand dunes. We visited Flinstone House and Top of the World.
