C-mount 8-48mm filter size?

I have a Pentax 8-48mm c-mount lens and I'm not sure what the filter thread size is. Anyone know for sure what size this lens takes?

Nevermind. Looks to be 57mm which is a crazy hard size to find a good lens hood for. Or even step up rings

So, assuming it's not a standard 58mm size, it doesn't look like an old-school Series size either.

Series VII is close to a 52mm size, and Series VIII is closer to 62mm - so it's not either of those.

The 2012 Pentax catalog of machine lenses lists it as 55mm. Are you sure about the 57mm measurement?

A 55mm to 58mm step up ring is common.

You could also go 55mm to 52mm step down, it probably wouldn't vignette and make for a neater package with a lens hood (although that might vignette at 8mm.)
