Has anyone used this lens on Q?

---------- Post added 10-02-19 at 11:15 AM ----------

And is it any good? Thoughts on adapting this vs any of the k-mount 75mms?

C mount registration distance is too short for k mount. It should work on the q, but only with electronic shutter as I recall.

Oh sorry you misunderstood me. I meant any thoughts on adapting this to Q mount vs adapting any of the k-mount 75mm lenses to q-mount. So basically on a q body how good is it compared to those on q body

Often the lens for C mount are sharper in the Q than the lenses think for the full frame camera but I don't have the lens nor a K mount 75mm, my sharpest lens in K mount on the Q are the FA macro 100mm F2.8 and the K 50mm F1.4 but both are not as sharp as the Kern Pailard Yvar 36mm F2.8, the lenses that I have in K mount all have theire best aperture at the one betwin 5.6 and 8 or more close when the one for D and C mount are better more open, probably that is why these lenses are generally sharper.

It is hard to say without knowing exactly what lens you are talking about. Do you have a link to a picture of it?
Some of the c-mount lenses are for machine imaging applications and have limited coverage (and are not easy to use.)

I would expect only very fine c mount lenses to yield results that rival the q native lenses.

The comment however about c mount on q outperforming k mount on q isn't hard to buy.

Here's more food for thought. The last part is q centric.

I have a tiny CS lens marked 12megapixel that is pretty much as sharp as a Pentax 02 native lens. Look out for the megapixel count on those C lenses!

I would say they market them according to some claimed megapixel resolving rather than they test them for it.
