Q batteries D-LI68

I was looking for new batteries for my Qs and found this Dutch site offer - Pentax D-LI68 Battery Bulk The price (8 each) was very tempting so I have ordered a couple. Hopefully they are genuine Pentax as stated, i'll report back next week when they turn up.

I have a couple of no-name generic batteries which were never as good as the originals which are still going strong. The generics have now started to swell making them hard to extract so they will get binned.

I've had good luck with Fuji NP-50 batteries in my Qs.

I bought some off eBay for about $12 each. They look a hair different from what came with my QS-1,so I've always wondered if they were just a variation or a copy. They've held up OK so far.......

I've had the same good experience with both those that claim to be from Pentax and those that admit they're just random batteries from someplace.

I bought the cactus batteries, two batteries and a charger for about twenty five quid. The charger turned out to be brilliant, and versatile because it has a twelve volt input, so it can be used in my campervan on long trips. Sadly, the batteries have not lasted, both have swelled and now can’t be used as they jam in the battery compartment. My original Pentax battery is still working fine. Go figure!

I can second the utility of the Fuji NP-50s. They are often more easily found than Pentax and are quite reliable.

Update - batteries arrived and are genuine Pentax. Charged up and working fine in Qs. 8 versus the usual UK price of 40 makes it bargain of the week for me.
