Q Flash sync?

So I'll be on the lookout for a Q camera at some point. One of the biggest draws apart from size, is the leaf shutter system. But from what I have gathered in doesn't actually allow you to leverage this as it stops sync past 1/250th??
What is Pentax thinking here....Is this the case??

The built in flash will sync at all leaf shutter speeds. A hotshoe flash is limited to 1/250. Believe some Qusers use pop up flash to fire off camera flash at a higher flash sync speed via slave. Max speed probably depends on slave and add on flash.

The flash sync for Q lenses without leaf shutter is 1/13. The Q10 manages 1/30. Leaf shutters are nice!☺ The Q-PK adapter has a built in leaf shutter to over come this slow speed.

Enjoy the Q,

I don't get this....seems like such a missed opportunity for Pentax
