Yes, even rarer than the 09 Telephoto Macro!

Things are progressing: the Metabones Devil Q666 adapter is now available for pre-order.

I notice that the Nikon G version of this has 1-to-7 Plus “F” settings and no “Lock” or “Open” settings, for what that’s worth. The Metabones website description says it has 8-stop aperture markings, so it’s possibly just a nomenclature difference with “F” meaning “Fully Open”.

I just placed a pre-order!

Let's see if B&H does better with this than Adorama.

Well that's surprising. I never thought this thing would be released. I even found a website that claims to have it in stock right now.

Accessories :: Metabones :: Metabones Pentax K to Q-mount Speed Booster Devil Q666 0.50x (MB_SPPK-Q-BM1) - Onestop Digital

But I cannot find any reviews of the Q666 Nikon version which has been available for 3 years already. It would be nice to hear from someone who has actually used it.

Brief passage on Ebay

The "thing" even passed briefly on Ebay.uk

But now it passed away :-(

With the large effective aperture of the combo,
shutter speeds should tend to be high enough
that you'd normally be using the electronic shutter anyway,
and jello shouldn't be a problem.

Let's see if this thing actually exists first,
before we worry too much about potential improvements!

Whatever the shutter speed, with the electronic shutter it takes 1/13s for full sensor readout.

Let me play devil's advocate here and ask why would someone spend more on the Metabones than on the camera? What's the gain? What's the purpose? Why not spend a like amount on another camera with better lenses and sensor?

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten about that.
It's not really a concern in my photography.

Thanks for playing.

In this particular case, "devil's advocate" is ambiguous ([f/0.]666 and all that!),
but I'll assume you mean it in the usual sense.

So, what's the definition of "better"?
Something that gets more brownie points on DxO and DePressing Review?

The purpose, for me, is to take photographs.
Any piece of equipment is a compromise,
and it's good to find the right compromise for the job you have in mind.

The Q system gets you photographs that you cannot get with other systems,
like when you need more depth of field, or a totally non-threatening stealth camera,
or a fisheye lens that can do close-ups, or you want real-time action macro, or ...

If (big "if") this Metabones materializes, there will be more new possibilities to explore.
As of right now, I'm thinking superfast tele with a usable depth of field.
The extra aperture also compensates for the smaller sensors' lower ISO capabilities.

The Devil is in the details.

Why would someone spend more on the Metabones than on the camera?

People spend a lot more than that on Leica gear.

What's the gain? Two stops.

What's the purpose? To allow shooting in lower light and/or with greater DOF.

Why not spend a like amount on another camera with better lenses and sensor?

What other lens/camera combo has a FF equivalent FOV of a 130mm with an F0.666 aperture? At any price? At any size that’s even close to the Q + Metabones + 50mm? A 130mm f0.666 lens would be about 8 inches wide!

This a specialized item, elegantly constructed and evidently (from Abbazz's review) works well. The combo would fit in a jacket pocket.

Not for the faint of heart.

UPDATE: BTW it is cheaper than a Pentax 1.4x converter!

In December 2014 I purchased my O-7. By your logic I should have spent the money on a "better" camera and lenses - but guess what, this camera meets my needs!
