Connection Cable Cover - Still not as bright as the average bear

OK, stumped again. The "Connection Cable Cover" which is under the corner of the camera by the battery door. When it is open it reveals nothing but the sealed battery corner. But it must have a use. Can anyone help me with this? The manuals are strangely silent on this other than showing it in a picture.

I believe it is used by the AC Adapter which has a "dummy" battery module that replaces the normal battery. Check the user manual in the accessories section for the AC Adapter.

Dislodge the connection cable cover to allow a gap feeding the cable coming out from dummy battery for A/C adaptor. My one plugs into a USB power bank I posted a while ago.

I am sure you are quite a bit brighter. But you made me laugh. My mother used to say that, so do I, and now my daughter says it to her kids. I wonder what its origins are? I always thought it might have something to do with Winnie the Pooh.

OK, will do. Thank you.

OK, here it is with the bad news. Actually I do not think I would use it much but I am gratified to finally know what that little door is for.

Amazon may not have it but the Bagel Boys at B&H do. Count on B&H to have this kind of thing along with the more popular goods.

Yeah? Well wait 'til the average bear joins the board before you make a final judgement.

I caught the reference but didn't comment on it. Used to live off the old Hanna-Barberra 60s cartoon fare. Let's see there was

Yogi and Boo-Boo Bear "But before it's dark he'll have every picnic basket that's in Jellystone Park"
Huckberry Hound "The Biggest Show in Town"
Pixie and Dixie
Snaggle Puss "Exit, stage left"
Quick Draw MacGraw & Babbalooey "The fastest shootist, high-falutinist, quick draw you ever saw!"
Top Cat "Close friends get to call him TC"
Ruff and Reddy

Of the non-H&B

Bugs Bunny Show
Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour
Beanie and Cecil Show
Rocky & Bullwinkle
Roger Ramjet
Deputy Dawg
Heckle and Jeckle
Astro Boy

Just to name a few of the favorites...

"Not quite as bright as the average bear" preceded "a few fries short of a Happy Meal" to describe the folks sitting at the back of the class way back when.
