I had
some warning.
I was recharging the “extra” battery in the car using a usb charger I have.
There had been little progress showing, but I had little sense of how much there should be {how much driving I had actually done}.
The battery in my Q-S1 was almost dead, so it was time to switch, regardless.
Most batteries seem to say ‘made in China using cells made in Japan’; then comes some kind of inspection(s).
My theory is that there is a ‘pecking order’ - OEM producers get first choice, and charge us for it.
Since I do inspect them every time I switch them, I am willing to bear some of the risk.
