newbie: speed my Pentax Q ?

Hi,

I am new Q owner, still learning how it all works. I notice an annoying lag between pressing the shutter, and an image appearing on the screen.

Are there some settings I should check? I already upgraded to 1.14 firmware.

Any advice much appreciated.

R.

I don't have the Pentax Q but that is normally because a) your memory card has a slow writing speed or b) you have in-camera corrections on

I have a Q7 as well and with a 120mb/s SD card the black-out time between pressing the shutter and seeing the image again is about 0.2 seconds, JPG or Raw+ no lens corrections.

YMMV.

If its the original Q, it's pretty slow.
