Does anyone here belong to this group? If so, have you actuall derived any benefits as a member. Referrals, Insurance & etc?

Surely, I thought, some of the "Professionals" here would be a member of the PPA. Guess I was wrong.

I am a member. As a small business owner, I've mainly used them as a resource for training and for information. They are a wealth of information to say the least. I also participate in some of the regional conferences and competitions, another huge resource.

I don't use them for insurance as I have small business insurance on my own. Referrals haven't happened yet - most people looking for a photographer don't know much if anything at all about the PPA so they wouldn't even know to look there.
