Last week I got published in the regional TV guide mag (this is some 72'011 copies) together with other fellow classmates from last term's photography course at my uni. Of course we only got published because the photographer teaching there is also involved with the mag; still, any exposure is better than no exposure, regardless of how it happened at all
The purpose of the course was to produce a diptych for a "social campaign" that would touch upon any issues (subject was free) which could be depicted within the paradigm of cause-effect "once... for a lifetime". Easier said than done, several subjects had to be ruled out because they were a result of repeated or accumulated behaviour, whereas we were asked to find something that would produce adverse consequences immediately. Of course not everyone managed to do that specifically, but then again, it was an exercise after all.
