(1 pixel in image = 1 pixel of LCD, not something like 107.9% like it's now) Would be smart to zoom in on the area in the image where the focus point was selected to be.
interesting, would be nice

Wider lenses for 35mm SLR backward compatibility.

Dear Pentax,

In addition to using a DSLR, I also use a 35mm SLR. It would be nice to see you manufacture backwards compatible lenses. The lens diameter in your newer lenses may be fine for your DSLRs as their sensors are smaller than the 35mm frame, but to use on a 35mm camera? They're just too narrow. When I shop for a lens, I specifically look for 35mm SLR compatibility. Yours just don't make the cut.

That is just a silly request.

The FA ltd are still backward compatible with any Pentax film body on K-mount, so are all Zeiss glass.

If you are aventurous enough to still use film and buy a used film body, then you can shop for the zillion legacy glass in K-mount.

Apart from Leica M (which isn't autofocus anyway) no mount allow for such compatibility.

Pentax, please make the file numbers able to go to more than 8 characters. I love being able to dictate what the first 4 characters are going to be, but then when the image number rolls over to 9999, why can't the file name be extended by 1 character so I can have image 10000? Computers these days are not constrained by the 8.3 file naming system.

I am now having to rename all my new images as I have clocked over 9999 images.

This is easily fixable for older cameras in firmware updates by the way - hint hint.

By sticking to short file names, they avoid the Microsoft patents on long file name creation.

You're kidding!
How can a patent dictate how long a name you're allowed to call something?

I had the same problem, I have changed 4th character P in Q so the 10000+ photos are always after the 9999 older...

By the way, dear Pentax,

Could you add a button to light the top screen or a 3rd option in the menu : 1: On, 2: Off, 3: On when turning the wheels or pushing the buttons.

A 2xteleconvertor with AF or, like already said by CypherOZ, a 500/4 would be great.

Excellent suggestions. I liked all suggestions about the grip. I have got the grip for K10d and by changing the camera to K7 or K5 I have to buy another grip, pay a lot of money for an empty box. If Pentax could realize the importance of innovation and new thinking like this not only I would buy such a grip gladly but also many others who might not want a grip would get it because of all goodies there.
I am afraid Hoya is not so futurist!

Dear Pentax marketing manager and executives

I am a crazy Pentax fan for 40 years.
when I receivved Sony NEX-5 couple months ago, I almost cried.
Why my dear friend Pentax can not make this type simple camera??!!

My suggestion is follows.
1. use 4 APS-C image sensor allocated mirror image to the left and to the bottom.
This four image sensor array will prefer cost effective to a single large sensor
and mirror allocation makes stitch program to be fast.
2. Reduce Flange-Distance 18mm. ( It does not mean to follow SONY)
Then you can get 15 times better lenses or the same quality lens to get fifteen times easier.
3. Take larger diameter lens mount to allow all of the lens by provided adapter by third
company.
4. Provide large amount DRAM buffer fast enough to save two cut image before stitch.
5. Provide automatic and manual vignetting resolver program for compensating some wide
angle lenses with shorter flange distance camera.
6. Provice Pentax lens adapter to cover all of the M42, K, FA, Dk lenses.

This plan can be alternative to go full frame PENTAX without using expensive sigle chip full frame sensor.and also be successfull.

Cheers Pentax!
