The latter would be a monster lens. Probably close to 2 lbs. and taking a 72mm filter. And cost about $2,000.

The 30mm would be as big as the Sigma, but to do it right would probably be larger and much, much more expensive.

Careful what you wish for.

... make the whole line weather sealed now...

Hear, hear!

I wish for things I will pay for, and size doesn’t matter if image quality is high.

With a limiter to avoid hunting end to end! (And working well with the potential 1.4x Teleconverter to give a 210mm f/4 Macro - that would be great!)

Even a variable limiter, which can be changed by a ring !

This is top of my wishlist too. And in my eyes it makes a lot of sense to have a high quality fast normal lens in an APS-C-only-system. If it gets bigger than the DA40, so be it. Give my gorilla-hands something to grab ;-)

Oh yeah. I remember going ballistic when hunting shy bugs with my Tamron 90mm macro. If PENTAX is the brand for outdoor shooters, a long macro would be a welcome addition.

150mm F2.8... I don't think that would fit within the limited restriction of 49mm filter threads.

Mind you, that's one restriction I think they should throw overboard right away.

You're right. The meaning was more for the aluminium body than the filter size

Even an updated 135mm f/3.5 in Limited would be fine. 49mm filter and built-in hood too.

Dear Pentax,

Hope you are working on a mirrorless rangefinder style APS-C camera with a hybrid (electro-optical) viewfinder ala X100S... Would like one with a 21mm f2 lens, thx.

Cheers,
M
