Pentax advertising on Youtube

I was watching some clips on Youtube tonight until one of those annoying advertisement videos comes up. To my surprise it was an advertisement for the Pentax Q. I have rarely seen Pentax advertisements online- let alone an actual commercial on a website as popular as Youtube. I hope this is a sign of good things to come from the partnership with Ricoh!

Link to [a copy of] the video:

The banner ad on the side of the video linked to this site which, until tonight, I had no idea existed.
The PENTAX Q

Forgive me if this info was redundant, I thought it was worth sharing

About time they spent some money promoting themselves, let's hope Ricoh will mean more ads for Pentax.

Nice ad (Finally). I do like that it shows the Spottie and K1000 film cameras, plus the K10D & K5.

I like it! There isn't much to compare it to because this is the first Pentax commercial I've seen in ages, but I still like it

That's a ridiculous idea! Why would they do that? Being under-funded and under-advertised is working just fine!

Where are the cute models? Can't sell cameras (or much of anything else) without cute models.

Hi, newbie here. I have had the idea for a while now where Bruce Willis is the spokesman with a catch phrase along the lines of "For when you grow up" (he also comes across as more rugged and durable than Ashton (like a Pentax))

Well, that might backfire if he's advertising the Q.

He could certainly work for the Optios and ruggedized dslrs bodies. We'd need to see the gentler side of Mr. Willis though so that the consumer knows he too can be an artist beneath the grit and stubble.
