KEH praise

While filling out a brief on-line survey for KEH I realized that they perform a superb service for the photo community in keeping good stuff in use.

I know of no other source of used photo items as easy to use; do you?

It's not just that they are easy to use, but that they have very conservative ratings on the gear so i have no fear buying something that is called a bargain (even some of the ugly stuff is usable with a little effort)
Most of my medium format kit comes from them
I can't think of a source as good as them for used at all

I suggested they find a way list items like bellows, achromatic closeup lenses, etc as a further service to the community.

I have been using KEH for about 6 years. I've bought my two Pentax digital cameras,.the first, a K100D and the lastest a K-x, from them, and I sold them a Pentax 28-200mm AF to them.

As for your suggesting they list those things, they do that already. These are manual focus items at today. But they do list for autofocus when they have them in stock:

Pentax Manual Focus Close-up and Bellow Accessories - KEH.com

And I love their warranty service and their customer service.

I agree! KEH is wonderful. They also give you a decent price on used equipment, at least exceeding my expectations on my old camera. They are very easy to deal with and customer service is excellent!

I acquired my FA 77 from them and they had by far the best price, new or used, online. The condition rating indicated LN- and I don't see a mark on it. I think the only reason for the rating was there was no box or manual. I feel like I got a great deal!

I've been using KEH since 2006. They are excellent as other posters have mentioned. The only other consistantly good source of used equipment is Adorama. Like KEH, they offer a no-questions-asked return policy.

Gotta agree with y'all.
As I pretty much only purchase used photo gear, KEH is a fantastic and reliable source.
For me, the "bargain" grade items have turned out to be golden.

BTW, thanks newarts for reminding me to fill out the survey.

Easiest survey I've ever taken.

Btw, anyone ever bought an UG lens and was it any good glass wise?

I've been buying stuffs from KEH for a while, probably about 20 orders so far (no lenses, however).

I had a problem with only one order (a Metz MZ54-4 missing the wide-angle panel). Laura took care of it nicely.

I've bought a number of BGN (one step up from ugly) from a wear and tear standpoint a lot of them would have been ex- on other sites and of course "minty" on fleabay

One ugly a bronica 150mm had a ding in the filter ring and the focal grip was slipping. Still managed to attach a good uv filter to make attaching other filters easy and 2 drops of crazy glue fixed the grip (other than that the lens looked like new) EDit - including shipping it cost me $50 so no complaints)

I'm happy for you, but sad for me. I have one of those camera's also, with battery pack I was going to put in the Market Place here for less than $65. Still might. Do need to sell it cause I don't use it anymore since going digital.

All praise for KEH from me also.
Bought a couple of EX gear that were like new to me. You could just about buy anything from them with the assurance it will be in excellent condition.
Great service also.

Would be good if we could get the same deal with KEH that we get for Adorama and B&H, eh?
