I don't get it but then maybe my natural blonde hair is showing through the red dye job.

As the author conclude: Ignorance. With that arguing I shouldn't be allowed to bring my *istDS with its 6Mpixel sensor...but a mirrorless camera with twice that number of pixels or more are allowed. If I ever visits that place I'll bring the LX with the motor drive, battery grip M and the largest flash I have and make as much noise as I can...

The sign says you can't even bring them into the station, let alone take a photo?

The whole thing is bizaar, I don't understand what the thought process is behind it all.

Thought process? Surely you jest. (No, I'm not calling you Shirley.) What passed for thought process there was probably something like FEAR AND LOATHING of the public, with a bit of I'M THE MOMMY, THAT'S WHY, ie arrogant arbitrary asininity. [political rant deleted] This looks like a rule that should be violated en-masse. OCCUPY THE TUBE! with crowds of dSLRs.

As a film only shooter I find this very amusing.

It reminds me of some of the hilarious signs you see in non English speaking countries, which were translated into English for tourists. However this is England so you just have to scratch your head.

I wonder if it's OK using live-view on the DSLR with a short lens?

You count on that these people understand that there is a mirror in side a DSLR, and that they in their wisdom would let you use a DSLR if you don't use the mirror? Not likely.

I expect people with Panasonic G series cameras will be banned because their cameras look like SLRs.
