Wedding contract important points?

Going to meet potential clients tonight, and for the first time ever i may need a contract. (All the other weddings I've done so far has been verbal agreement...)

So, i am googling contracts right now, and there are lots. Some with similar points. What I want to know is, which of these points are very important for me to emphasize? Basically, those who have done this, and knows the actual pitfalls of not including said point in the contract?
What should I promise, and what should I specifically NOT promise?
When do people get paid - and how?

Any pointers would be helpful, thanks

I have a very "standard" business contract on the front of the page. I tell the client... "this is the garble that says we are entering a contract"

On the second page I have ALL the details about the DAY that I consider important and I tell the client "this is the page I REALLY care about - because if it is not properly filled out I might now show up". This has things like
1. Bride prep location/time
2. time that photographer arrives to take pictures of bride prep
3. wedding location/time
4. time that photographer arrives to take pictures of wedding
5. reception time/location

It has lots of other little details too...

- Then there is a spot for client address/phone number (not required on front page)
- "requested pictures". Some people want to give me a whole shot list that will not fit on the contract - but I want ALL the "formal" family photo combinations I am to photograph on THIS form. Also, they often have something weird and specific (picture at sunset with fireworks going off).

The second page of the contract is vital to me because I do quite a few weddings in a year and I can't be counted on to remember ANY of those details. So usually a week or 2 before the wedding I pull out the contract to plan my logistics (what gear do I need, where do I need my assistant etc) and at that point I still have time to call the bride or wedding planner to get last minute things organized.
