Probably another 35mm. Pentax has the 31mm, and 2 35mm lenses already, so they need to add one more slow cheap plastic lens. Maybe a 37mm F/8 so that it is right between the the 35mm and the 40mm and completely irrelevant. Maybe they will give us "toy" lenses for the K-mount like they did with the Q. That would be awesome!

maybe the ever elusive 55-300mm WR. Keep the same optical formula, just repackage it. Maybe add the AF motor from the recent 18-135mm (DC). It would still be a mid-tier telephoto lens above the 50-200 and lower than the 60-250.

As other have mentioned there is a hole in ultra wide for DA*. And something long around 400 or 500mm as a prime lens or as a Pentax version of Sigma's 120-400 or 150-500 only with smc, weather sealing, and SDM/DC af motors.

Wow, that would be VERY cool. I'd buy that in a split second.
This lens would be "cool" on proper mirrorless with short flange distance. On K-mount one it will be either huge or bad.

Hey at least you won't have to spend $300 on an adapter!

Sitting for the most part inside the body of the K-01, it would be small and good. But it couldn't be used on a K reflex, just on (in) a K mirrorless.

I really wish for a DA* 135mm f/1.8,
but I knew thats hardly will happen.

If Pentax do bring out a 135mm, it will be small and slow... f/3.5

Other than the rumoured new DA40, I think another new lens would be something like a DA50/1.7/1.8. That's a lens a lot people have been waiting for. Other lenses have to wait until the new roadmap comes out.

That is what I am afraid of. I want a new A*135mm f/1.8, but chances are slim to none. I hear Sigma is working on the 135mm f/2 so at least someone is still developing good glass for the K-mount. I really do feel like Pentax has struck a deal with Sigma. If Sigma will support the K-mount, Pentax has agreed not to develop any new competitive glass.

If the Chinese leak that showed a little bit of the upcoming camera also had a new roadmap being released when the K-01 is announced on Feb. 2. Until the announcement we don't know if the rumor lenses will be XS lenses that means they will not fit on dslr camera. I guess it will be clear in a few days.

yes and i would add to that a DA*80mm F1.2

i would love something mid priced ($500ish) in a longer reach. im not interested in spending DA*300 prices for a focal length i dont use a whole lot.

I have a old 55 mm f1.8 and would love the 50mm f1.7 brought back. I think we'll get a long zoom 100-400mm (?) and we need a wider prime like a 10 or 12 mm. up grade the 55-300mm with WP and a focus motor would be great too. I have a 55-300mm I don't use it much but it is sharp, I photograph my grandson's 6th. grade football from the stands and the pictures are sharp. Pentax must keep the quality high on what ever they bring out.

I've gave up waiting for a DA24/2 and bought a FA*24/2. It's hard to fathom why Pentax doesn't offer a fast 35mm equiv in their line up, probably the most useful and versatile FL of all.
