Just found out about this American photographer. (Hope this is in the correct forum)
Lovely images of a time past.
Sure would like to view the exhibit in person.

I picked up the book at the local library a few weeks ago most of the pics are up in what they call the hill district. It's about 3 5 miles from my house great book lots of history.

LOVE Teenie Harris's work!! If you REALLY want to see them in amazing splendor, visit the Carnegie Museum of Art. Pretty amazing to see his images blown up on massive white walls 7 at a time with projectors and set to jazz music. Some really iconic photos and amazing what he could do with the gear he was using!

There are also 2 books of his work currently out. I just got the latest one for Christmas. FANTASTIC!

And even if you are not from around Pittsburgh, it is worth the trip. You can bundle in a trip to the Warhol or Mattress Factory, Falling Water, and tons of great photo exploration in the city itself!
