Aren't some of you guys acting a bit oversensitive? I mean c'mon. It's funny as hell if you read some of the reactions over here.

Its OK if the "K-3" isnt actually announced today... I have to say the feeling i felt in my stomache when i red the topic title before i realized it was the 1st of april was amazing.

B&H are accepting pre-orders I believe and you can have any colour you like as long as it's Canikon. ;-)

To me there is a difference between funny and painful. News articles about a new Pentax with a round sensor, or a new Pentax which takes pictures which can be focussed afterwards, are funny. But a story about a horse which is already beaten to death... No, sorry.

Actually my own wife is much more funny than this whole K-3 thing. This morning she said to me that I had a hole in my trousers. Of course I could not see it, because it was near my back pocket. So I lowered my trousers... Then it dawned on me

Well...I was wrong.

Cool. Looks like Sony is now going to produce mode sensors at varying price points and sizes.

Or it is April Fool's Day andPhotoshop wins again.

Either way, laughs.

AT least you could have tried with images a bit more different than a k5, like these :

We are trying to convince you of that for some time now.

I think this is a good joke, making it an APS-H camera would be cruel (to me)

Actually I saw that you first posted the first two lines, and edited your post to add the last two. So you actually believed the joke...? Thanks for showing that you indeed wanted to post that you were wrong (as promised)

I caught on right away, I've been taken in by April fools jokes too many times to trust anything.

Usually I'm not overly aware of the date, but my favorite frozen custard place opens for the season today so I knew it was April Fools as soon as I woke up

Good joke: with all sorts of references to other dSLR models

Why put a white balance icon on the front?
Maybe a reference to the *istD. The *istD has the icon in the same relative position, and the manual white balance setting button close-by on the lens barrel.

Anyway, we already have a larger than "full frame" camera in the stable: the 645D. Maybe we should refer to 36x24mm as "tiny format" -- relative to 8x10 inches, or the quarter area 5x4 inches.

True that. D800 and 5DMkIII will take some beating.
