If you got it at Goodwill, you probably got a steal. I have a Domke bag that I've been using for about 15 years and it's still got a ton of life left on it. Even if it doesn't end up being your main bag, it's well worth having. Nice find!

I've tried numerous brand bags and Domke is my all-time favorite.

They are well-designed and well-made using quality materials.
Simple design makes them fast and and easy to work from.

Most Domke models are made in USA.
Domke products are distributed in USA by Tiffen.

I like various Domke models as well.

Also noting that Tamrac lines of the three digit numbers; such as 767, 777, and so on - are also made in america. I'm not sure how much of the LowePro line might be. It is also to my understanding that Brenthaven bags are also made in america - they've been known for having the most durable soft sided computer bags made - ever.

But I presently have a few bags; Domke, LoewPro and others that ay be in need of a good cleaning. The queston is - how does one go about it and should it be professionally done - such as at a dry-cleaner?? Or should I just let it ride and have the bags show a bit more character?

I machine washed one of my Domke bags, sans insert. It came out fine.
